I have run into a problem trying to create follicles predictably and at selected points/vertices.
WORKFLOW:
1. Create polygon plane> DefaultSettings
2. Move from origin
2. Select any vertex
3. Hair>CreateHair>AtSelectedPoints/Faces
4. Apply
5. Warning: createHair: no hairs created
I HAVE TRIED:
1. Selecting one vertex
2. Selecting two vertices
3. Selecting three vetices
4. Selecting four vertices
5. Selecting single face (this works fine)
6. For control purposes, a nurbs plane, selectedCV, follicle appears far from actual selected CV
A hair system is created, along with follicle nodes, and optionally painteffects node and/or curve node. The problem is that the follicle does not appear to be located and constrained to the poly plane, it is still at the origin. Ideally, I can test using this simple poly plane to get workflow down. Then apply this knowledge to a mesh, reliably placing individual follicles on the mesh at selected vertices.
