i am currently making a mushroom and have 3 different textures. one for the top, the veins and the stem. i was able to project the textures and baked them. my problem occurs when i go to use 3D painting to clone so that the i can blend the textures.
i know that before i clone i have to 'assign edit textures' then 'set clone source' i am able to do that successfully but when i save the file and reopen it all the texture is gone. this only happens after i do some cloning. i also notice that in the hypershade the baked textures are no longer appearing and they are just black. i have tried checking 'update after stroke' and 'save texture' but they all open up gray. i am baking using maya with edit> convert in hypershade.
