Hi - this is my first post so I'll try to be brief and polite...
I'm not a new Maya user, but I'm new to v6, and am trying to get a thick slime-like substance to melt or slide off a surface and on to the ground. For the sake of an example, let's say a cube wrapped in an inch layer of goo, which is shed off and puddles onto the ground. Ultimately, I'd like to give the goo an animated texture.
Is this crazy complicated, or might there be a good trick here? I've experimented with the 3d fluid emitters, but perhaps something in cloth might work? A puddle of wet, folded plastic or silicone would be nice, i.e., the goo doesnt have to be a fluid necessairly...
I hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew, but any advice would be truly appreciated! Thanks!! I'll keep digging around...
