# addAttr -readable -writable -hidden

I am trying to figure out some of the flags for addAttr. Basically my goal is to add some attributes that are visible in the UI attr editor, but are not changable from the UI. Is this possible? I tried...
addAttr -ln new -at "float" -writable 0 -hidden 0;
...but it seems whenever I turn off writable the attribute becomes hidden.

you can lock them if you want to see them but not change 'em..
addAttr -ln "foo" obj;
setAttr -l 1 obj.foo;
