No!
It's extremely rare to actually need to change type. In any such change event ONLY float to int, and vice versa, would ever make sense and work event remotely sane. And it's very rare that anybody chooses to use int uness they explicitly design to use a enumeration of some kind; and then they really would use enumeration instead. So it's a rare rare border case that can be easily worked around.
This is likely the only time you ever want to do this.
