What do you guys think of this system:

Dual AMD 2000mp
Asus 760 Dual Board
1GB DDR RAM
80GB EIDE HD
ATI 9700
SB Audigy
\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_

Now, the system will be used JUST for 3d, maya, shakes, and some video editing. Is this a good system for this. I am getting ready to order parts, and i want to make sure i am making a good move. Just a few things first: I cant afford a SCSI, just not worth the GB per dollar to me, that EIDE is....the Audigy, is just a prefrence...and i guess that is it. Let me know what you guys think. Thanx everyone!

I'b be careful with that ATI card...traditionaly , ATI has been secound rate to anything Geforce when it comes to affordable proffestional 3d acceleration.
Especialy with maya.

i have heard nothing but good things about the ATI 9700, but some are against it. I dont know why. I just cant afford a Quadro...and i dont want to go with the Ti4600 b/c its not reccommended for maya. I really dont know what to do here....

I don't think the 9700 is 'recommended' for maya yet either.
