why is it that when I want to use the usebackground shader with MR it does not seems to work? I just want a shadow on the ground but the shader comes up with a color as well. I have tryed playing with the differnt setting but I cant seem to get it to work....Does anyone know how to get around this?
LR
Weird. I'm having a different problem with Use Background (weird edges), but it happens with mr and Software. I've been using it under different circumstances with no problems (with mr).
Out on a limb: are you coloring your shadows?
no, no colored shadows.....at least not until I get the plain one workign right. Its one of these anoying problems where you have done something a million times and all of a sudden its doing something weird....
I'm curious where the colors seem to be coming from. Is it some generic, flat color or is it coming from the scene somewhere?
its a generic flat color. I would say is was a specilar if I had not turned it and the reflections off....when I am done with this other render I will try to post an image....
the image on the top is basically how I want it to look, it is just a white shader. the image on the bottom has a useBackground shader on the floor. The setting for hte shader are below that....
MAke sure the reflection limitE value of the usebackground is set to 0
