Hi!
i have a lamp with a bulb on it.The lamp falls(just topples over, not from a height or something) and the bulb blasts on hitting the ground. Now,a bulb is highly pressurised,as far as i know,so it would kinda explode....with shards shooting off and most of the mesh retained in big chunks of glass.(just like a normal bulb when it breaks).
I tried using shatter, but the results were...well, not great.Could someone pleeese help me here.
PLEASE HELP! ![]()
Well, when shatter isn't good enough I guess you'll have to first imagine what look you want to achieve and then model the pieces. In addition you can add an instanced particle shape for the very small ones (the exploding lightbulb effect is so fast I don't think you'll see the transition from Geometry to instance particles for the small areas).
Yes, it takes hours and hours of work, but hey, good things (almost) always take time
