one of the things im trying to do is make a scene that is fully modeled but you can still see the wireframe on the surface...
any ideas???
try a hardware render and maybe some photoshop.
good luck,ww
photoshop wont help me in animations
Little can be done by means of imagination. The beginning of great expression lies inthe free mind, lust, sex, fantasy, desire, use your ability to make a change.
Well, it could... render out a series of images and then do some batch processing with Photoshop... but really what you want to do is find a good wireframe shader. I think there's one on this site somewhere...

you can do filled wires with the plug in on this site...i would do the HW render and composite it.
Blurb.......
what plug??? name???
in the maya plug in section...called wire data
Most compositing programs have tool sets very similar to those in photoshop.

If you render out the sequence in the hardware renderer with hardware alpha on and wireframe selected you can just composite it over the animation in after FX or any of the other compositing programs
The easiest solution. Export to max. Apply any standard material. Then there is a box for wire, check it and render. That is all!!Feel sory you have to go to MAX for poly modeling, wire metirial, fast rendering, lots of plugins etc....zeni
