Have you tried running a GeForce 3 Ti200 or Ti500 with Maya 4 under Win2K? If so, I'd love your feedback!
In particular, there's been a lot of talk about tweaking GF's into comparable Quadros. What I want to know is whether I'll be happy if I don't bother with any of that.
-Are there any glaring incompatibilities (functions/panels that just won't work, etc?
-Does it seem stable?
-If you've tweaked it into a Quadro DCC, exactly what steps are required? It seems SoftQuadro did the trick for GF256 & GF2, but are soldering irons now required? I can't find anywhere that outlines the steps...
I assume A|W decided not to "authorize" these for a reason, but I'm trying to determine if the reason is good enough to prevent me from buying one or whether it's simply a means of scratching the backs of high-end card manufacturers....
