Convert Fur To Texture For Game

Is there a way I can convert a fur description to a bitmap such as a tga? I am using maya fur to create some bear like fur and I would like to bake the fur out to a bitmap for a video game (game doesnt support maya fur just bitmaps)

I prefer to use maya fur to get a nice random flowing fur texture rather than making some kindof tiled image in photoshop.

Hi I do not plan to project the fur.

Curious if there is a way to convert maya fur to a bitmap that is all.

There probably isn't, just wishful thinking.
