Cross Platfrom Backwards Compatibility...need A Quick Hack

Hey guys,..

I have some projects i did on Shake 4.0 on a Mac (on site at the clients) sent to me to do some changes on my PC version 2.5

Im used to do this with Maya by changing the header on the ASCII file but it doesnt seem to work for Shake.

Anybody has any hacks ? ideas ?

as always this is a last minute job, so throw in whatever crazy ideas you might have

you'll have to find all the nodes that have changed since 2.5 and modify the script file accordingly.
depending on the complexity of the script, you're probably better off spending the 500 bucks for a 4.1 licence.

Hi Mac Inger !

They have stopped developing shake for PC, the last version is 2.5.

so either u can go for Shake V4 for Linus, and make ur PC run of Linux.

Why its not opening in shake 2.5 is, almost most of the nodes have been upgraded and modified only very few nodes of shakeV4 opens in ShakeV2.5, so its better to go for Shake4.

( if u want to know where its going wrong, u open ur shake flow in a text editor and select (highlight) first 25 lines and drag it in to ur shake and continue this for the next consecutive 25 lines, then u will know wehre all its stuck)
