I'm using some glow effect, and a very little bit of incandecence in a character I've been animating. I've run into this problem in the past and I need to get this sorted cause it's starting to really annoy me. In any given still image throughout the sequence the glow looks fine. However I load the sequence into my editing software, and whaterever has a glow material assigned to it starts flickering like a bad flourecent bulb. That wouls be great if I were animating a flickering flourecent bulb... but I'm not. I'd like to get some consistent, smooth flowing glow effect in my animations. I've heard something about the post effect program adjusting the amount of glow based on how much area it takes un in the frame... is there anyway to keep that from adjusting automatically. Can't Maya just trust that I want the glow to look just the way I set it to? Any help here would be appreciated. I can use a different version of my character without glow but it just looks so much cooler with it, I would much prefer to use this version if I can get it to work.
