I need a little help on using dynamic fires.
I wanted to make a sort of sword fight scene and I wanted one of the guys to light there sword blade on fire, but i need help on getting the fire to "turn on" at a specific time rather than "turning on" at the first frame and continue burning through out the animation.

animate the .rate attribute of the fire emitter

Or you could just set the start frame on your particle object to the frame you want the particles to start emitting.
