I've got a character created in poly's, with the geometry mirrored for easy symetry. I now want to apply Fur. It will only accept fur on one half of the model. The same goes for paint effects. I paint on one side of the model and the stroke disappears, then a mirror image of the stroke shows on the opposite side. I try painting the opposite side, and it stays on that side.
Tried converting the poly object into subdiv, same thing.
Tried deleting the object history.. no good.
Fur just doesn't seem to mesh well with polys in general. As a test I created a poly cube and applied fur to it... the fur only appeared on one face of the cube.
I've exhausted my limited knowledge of Fur, and am begining to pull my own hair out, though that seems to have no effect either.
