# getArrayAttr?

Ive added array attribute to my geometry(nurbs/mesh) by:

AddAttr -ln test -dt doubleArray mygeoShape1;  
SetAttr mygeoShape1.test -type doubleArray 6 0 0 0 0 0 0;

How can I get the attribute value through mel? Ive tried getAttr, but it is documented that it doesnt support array attribute. Is API the only way?

From what I've found, yes, the API is the only way. I think you can make assignments to the attribute, but not query it through MEL.

Does anyone know how to query "doubleArray" attribute through API? I tried MFn class function getvalue(), it doesnt work for "doubleArray". In fact, I cant figure out its type in API because it doesnt seem to be array type in API.

P.S. the terminology and definition in MEL confused with that in API very much.
