Hi all... it's been awhile since I've posted anything...

I'm working on a still for a Halloween contest... it's not done, but there is no post-processing what so ever.. even the signature logo is a alpha mapped texture on a plane, parented in front of the camera...

Anyways, I call it the "Mask Maker"....

I was thinking about adding a hand on the scissors.. wearing a bloody surgical glove....

any suggestions....

Trippy,
Looks 2d to me but it could just be my eyes.

I like it! Very original idea!

The idea of having a hand wearing a bloody surgical glove is also a good idea. I agree with GhostAssassin the picture have a 2D quality to it. It looks like a poster for a horror movie back in the 80s, where it is usually hand painted. Nevertheless I think you did a great job! What's up with the novelty items though? It doesn't suit the whole atmosphere. I think you need to make the mask scarier though. Add nostrils and some cuts and bruises here and there

Good luck in the contest

Thanks for comments, it does have a 'film grain' filter to it... I used a textured plane directly in front of the camera to achieve the effect... that might be why it has a 2D look.. anyways here's a screen shot of the mesh..
