Heat Weight Tool

Man, I love this tool. It works great for some of my models, but not so for others. I have a bi-ped model and a quadripede model and the tool doesn't work for either of them. These are the only 2 so far that don't work with this tool.

My question is: Are there any general reasons why the tool won't work on these two? Any other ways around this problem?

did you check your models for nonmanifold errors? i had this type of problem some time ago and there was nonmanifold geo in the model, try clean geometry tool and look for errors
