How To Make Adjustment Layers Not Effect Specific Layers

hi All,

another quick question since Highend3d so helpful as usual:).
I'm trying to have adjustment layers not effect specific layers underneath it. I was wondering if there's some setting I'm suppose to mod on a specific layer so its not effected it by it. I could put the layer on top of the adjustment layer but the problem is that its the background layer and if i put it on top of everything else then its going to cover all the foreground layers.
anyone? Jooja? any ideas?

Hi! You should exactly do what Joojaa said, which means selecting all the layers you want affected and the adjusment layer and press ctrl+shift+c to pre-compose it. AE will make a new composition inside the one you were working for. That's what nesting means
