Solution asks:
Q: Where is Basket Boy Tutorial Located.
A: This is a good tutorial to learn how to model a radial head. This approach is also very useful for creating "symmetrical" organic shapes (ie: one side is a mirror copy of the other with no seam).
On the Softimage On-Line Library CD double click the file " _GO_NT.pdf", to bring up the main menu, and then select tutorials from the web. "Basket boy" is the first one in the modeling section.
Ed Harris has been compiling lots of 3D and XSI tutorials on www.edharris.com. Of course don't forget that Highend3D has Softimage tutorials and tips too.
FYI: For anyone just starting out with Softimage 3D, I highly recommend going through the "Quick Start Guide". If you don't have a hard copy, print it out on a laser printer, and go through every lab completely. This gives you a great overview of how the 3D software "thinks". At the end you will be able to do a walking character with ease. If you are wanting to do animation, learn "function curves" . This is a must for good animation, and is one of the reasons Softimage is such a strong animation product.
Hope this helps,
