Which video format should I export an avi to from Premiere? I want to work with it in Linux. Is Tiff sequence the only way?
Thanks

thanks to the ignorance and hostile mindset of Micro$oft, its not easy

But you can handle a avi which is recoded by virtual dub under linux

Maybe there are other/better ways which i don't know, i prefere to use image sequenzes.

take a look at transcode and mencoder, thats the linux way to transcode video. Both are command line programs, not easy to use, but incredible versatile. And there are some GUI's available, but they don't really use the comprehensive potential of that progs.

Here some links for tanscode:

ask google.com for mencoder documentation
