Hello,

I'm really quite new at using Maya, and 3D packages like it in general. I've used Flash quite a lot in the past and so am familiar with key-frame animating.

I've done a key-frame animation in Maya (it still needs tweaking) which you can find here: [http://www.mediawart.com/view.php?id=1883167055](http://www.mediawart.com/view.php?id=1883167055) (2.3Mb)

I'd like to know how to loop key-frame animations (he's looped in Movie Maker, currently) - Ideally, I'd like the running animation to loop while I move him along the path I want. In Flash, you can save an animation as a movie symbol and move the symbol around, while the movie loops itself quite happily. I'm kinda hoping you can do something like this in Maya!

I'd also like to know if its possible to speed up/slow down a key frame animation (ie: the whole running gait at once)?

Many thanks,

Stomps

Thanks Chris, thats a great help! 'Trax' does sound ideal for what I want!

I'm glad you liked my animation, My (small amount of) experience stems from plasticine animation. I actually modelled the stompy robot in Unigraphics (the CAD package) and imported it into Maya as a STEP. I cheated, basically!

Thanks again,

Stomps.

Whatdo you mean cheating? Does not compute!

Havent you gusy ever heard of the fact that EVERYTHING in 3d is about cheating...
