Maya 7.0 On Debian

Maya 7.0 Seems to br running just fine on Debian - Sarge.
I only have one problem. When i use the metalray renderer
in the renderview i get this error. And the rendering fails.

Sounds like there is no file called Mayatomr.sog in the bin/plug-ins directory. This would normally be a zero length file. It is used to ensure that the Mayatomr.so plugin gets loaded with RT_GLOBAL t to export its global symbols. Sometimes its a symlink to Mayatomr.so, sometimes zero length file. Just having the file is sufficient. If you didn't convert/install the rpm with all of its post processing scripts run, then things may not be completely setup correctly.

Sad that some ppl just want help but can't give it back. Anyways, found this thread when i google'd... the solution seems to be (type in terminal):

cd /usr/aw/maya7.0/bin/plug-ins/
ln -s Mayatomr.so Mayatomr.sog

restart maya and now try the renderer.
