Not much to add, but.......
emit from polygons and sub-divs, like the features from nurbs.ie smooth emissions form the faces. use the uvs lay-out as goal. use maps to determine colour and so on. Also look at the tools from Kollektiv.com and basicaly do the same thing. use any texture node to emit like the sampler info. Also the curve feild looks nice.
a clothsim thats realy easy to set up along side with the more tidious pannels-workflow.
