MayaZoom on Right Mouse Button?

Hmm cute explanations but it hurts my hand to try and hold down both the left+middlemouse buttons at the same time. Plus your finger can slip off one of the two when you're moving stuff around a lot and its just more strain period, not to mention unintuitive.

Sentry65: It would work the same exact way as the current zoom, but using the right mouse button instead of left+middle.

A/W, please just let us customize this. Obviously there are enough people who work differently to merit this feature...

No one's seen any MEL scripts for this? Anyone good at MEL? Can you script these kind of controls?

I thought of another way of expressing the problem. I am so clever.

The current config (ALT+leftMouse+middleMouse) is to a musical Chord as the preferred config (ALT+rightMouse) is to a Note....

personally i prefer the set up how it is in maya
i can quickly change weither im dollying tracking or what ever with ease using just those 2 fingers
i have that right mouse button associated in my brain for specific menus like right mousing over a joint or surface or what ever

but giving the user options to map it houw thy prefer is always a good thing

the more options you give your user or consumer the better

Well on a well designed 3 button mouse you should be able to use three fingers since every each one of them should fit on different button.At least thats what happens when I put my hand on my mouse.
I use A4 tech 4D+mouse.(btw. Great deal for 10 bucks)
Moving the middle finger from button to button is just to difficult FOR ME.

But anyway , even if they do know whats best for us, I believe that cutting the options is not a good way of dealing with users. So I vote for ability to make changes in everything you use. Maybe even being able to tweak the default MM in maya. Like rmb MM and other shortcut based MM that are default. With my current knowlege it apears that there is no easy way of doing it (read: without reprograming some mel scripts).
So let me hear everybody:
WE WAN'T THE OPTION TO TWEAK EVERYTHING.

I wonder why never alias people indulge into these threads.
I bet they read at least some of this, but I've never seen someone officialy speaking for AW. Corect me if I'm wrong I only use/visit this site for two/three years (and Lumis before).

-you can bet the product managers and designers (and not just at A|w) read this site regularly, as they have graciously chimed-in in the past to "set the record straight" and provide feedback to our little community when they deemed it appropriate -
