Issues With Mel Script "importexportchan" Not Loading

I am trying to use the mel script "ImportExportChan.mel" for exporting a camera out of Maya suitable for translation to the .chan format for taking camera data into nuke.

The mel script is in my maya 8 mel scripts folder but i get this error in the command line

error:cannot find procedure"ImportExportChan"

what have I done wrong?

does the script have a procedure named ImportExportChan? Are you sure of the folder. (maya doesn't care of structure it cares of what its being told you can easily tell it not to look in folders if you like so ask maya for its environment to be sure)
