I have a NURBS plane emitting particles. The particles have the plane as a goal. The goalV is driven by a ramp so that the particles flow along the V direction.
As for the the goalU I set this simple MEL expression:
nParticleShape1.goalU = rand(0,time/4.0);
This way, at the end of an animation of 4 seconds (25fps) I expect my particles will fill half the plane forming a triangle.
I found that this diagonal is all jagged like a staircase. I was able only to reduce the size of the jagginess by doubling the frame rate (50fps). I think this is related to the way Maya calculates the time value. Maybe it is truncated somehow.
Does anybody have an idea how can I solve this?
Thank you in advance, Michele
