Is there a way to merge separeate texture\_coordinate nodes (in 2.x)?

The problem arised from copying parts of a mesh with extract and then merging them. This results in two separate sets which makes editing cumbersome.

Is there a better way to copy polygons in a mesh without extracting (ctrl + d makes an extrude - not what I want).

Not sure it will work, but if you freeze the projections on each objects before merging them, you can copy the UV coordinates via the Texture Editor.
I would just take the projections from the former objects and copy their UVs into the new one. I think that there is a Copy UVs script in the Net View (xsi net).

Hope this helps
