Using MEL, how can I determine

1. If a node of some type exists?
2. If a node which's name I know exists?

1. hmm hard one listNodeTypes could do the trick as would creating a node and checking if it returns unknown? then deleting it-

2. objExists nodeName

objExists will do the work.

Another thing, how can I check if a certain node type exists?

listNodeTypes "makeNurbGoesFishing";

if it returns nothing, the node type doesn't exist
