Limitation: Polygonal objects or portions of polygonal objects with no UV textures coordinates appear "stippled*" when viewed in hardware texture shading mode (hotkey 6).
(*looks kinda invisible or x-ray view)
Workaround: Create new UV coordinates by selecting the faces of the object and using any of of the following tools
in the Edit Polygons>Texure View menu:
- Planar Mapping, - Cylindrical Mapping, Spherical Mapping, Create UVs based on Camera, Normalize UVs, Unitiize UVs, and Best Plane Texturing. If you don not want to create new UVs you can view the object properly by viewing it in the shaded mode.
