Shattered glass

hi,

i'll be doing a project wherein i will have to animate text starting from a blank frame then shattered pieces will come in forming a word.

how do i achieve this particular effect? any help is highly appreciated.

Use Polygon Breakup and Explode or Kaboom to blow up your text. Then reverse the animation.

I agree with Ed's advice. There is a nice step by step tutorial in the reference documents on the Explode tool. If you don't have a hard copy, it's on library CD.
