If you can't get someone here to do it for you, be sure to write the ATI guys. They are usually pretty responsive.
We have been playing with this tool (under 4.0) the last couple of days and it is pretty sweet. Just a heads up, we found it necessary to invert the green channel to work with our realtime shaders. Not sure if the case would be the same for Maya renders. Actually, I don't know if Maya can even use a normal map for bump...?
