What operating system? In case smebody else is interested. This is nolonger code on maya but the underlying operating system. Thing is tough since this is clearly outside the scope of this forum. I'm not doing to do this for you on the grouds that im not sound tech. Probably not more tnan 10 minutes of work but still.
But just of curiosity if its just a prototype then why the hell do you need the sound for anything?
Is this possible in 2010?
Yes, but you must use code that has nothing to do with maya
Im usin Maya 2010 and I dont know how to code.
Aumm sorry you have 2 options
1) learn
2) hire somebody who does.
Anyone have seen a script that can do this?
Nope cant say i have not really within the scope of maya. Not really rocket science tough just look up how to play sounds with python. eg:
Thats the easy part now theese must be threaded so they dont bloack mayas runtime the sound must be interleaved with the other sounds so you need a system that supports such things etc.
Thing is the entire purpose of scripting si that nobody on earh has done what you want done, scripts enable you to do just that.
PS: The biggest reason i wouldnt do this is that if you have no scripting skills your probably going to fail at the moment when i need a external library installed. So I would probably need to make a intaller for you, or wirte c++, and thats stricly where i darw the line after that people better pay up because thats, work. That has a tendency to turn a 10 minute hack into a week long headache. I haveone more deserving one of those at my list at the moment.
PPS:
I dont know how to code.
I would stipulate everybody who use a computer know and do code all the time they just dont know it. Certainly if you use maya.
