Hey, I'm doing a space scene and there is a star in the background. I don't know exactly how to make a realistic sun/star in maya to shine behind the planet, so was considering doing it in AE. As there is camera movement my question would be this, does it matter if the star is more or less a 2d image sequence on a plane, would there be parallax issues, I dont know if it matters when the object has a lot of mass and is in the background. Essentially what I want is a halo effect and rays but I can only figure this out with the maya spotlight. Whenever I change my camera view the optical fx dissapears so this leave me with rendering out a sphere with a lambert or a particle cloud, but I can't figure out how to achieve the same effect with either.
