DVI to VGA adapters

Are there any problems with using DVI to VGA adapters? Like, will the refresh rate be limited to 75 Hz?

we built a machine using an Elsa Quadro2MXR (dual-head) and it came with one VGA and one DVI output.

to use two analog monitors, we had to use the included DVI to VGA adapter.

I thought it was just me, but when I cranked up the refresh rate in Windoze2K, the monitor using the DVI adapter still seemed to have a slight flicker, no matter what reseolution I used.

hmm, this looks good.
so there is a converter.......!
(grumble grumble, will have to kick the it guy!)
this will come in handy.

I'm sure i can stomach 75 hz for twice the area!
