Hi,

is it possible to add arguments to the MEL-command "system"?
I need this, because I want to execute a Tcl script that expects two arguments.

I tried:

string $myCmd = "load d:/xy/xy.tcl " + $arg1 + " " + $arg2;
system($myCmd);

Of course $arg1 and $arg2 are correctly declared variables.

Unfortunately it seems, that both arguments are ignored; the Tcl script is called without arguments.

Any suggestions would help.

Thanks
jbs

I'm not sure why your command isn't working. I use the system command below without problems, and I am passing in arguments.

string $mayacampathCmd = ("mayacampath " + $filename +".mov");
system($mayacampathCmd);
