Hello
How can we apply a tga image sequence onto an object.
I'd also like to know how to loop a movie mapped onto an object? How do we control the movie mapped onto the object (as in the frame no. to start at etc.)

Thanks in advance

Just like you controll anything else in maya. Via attributes!

open the base image in a file node and chek the use extension. Maya can try to guess the extension but using name.001.ext (actualy unpadded is ok too) is prefeerable.

Then easiest just key the image extension wich by default is tied to a expression wich reads if you dont want to key then you con modify it from but if you want to be sucidal or are mathemathicaly inclined you can alvways edit teh expression to usit your need.

fileNodeName.frameExtension=frame

to something as elborate as you wish (again keying is more straight forward usualy and especialy fore the linsteps much easier to achieve the same thing)

fileNodeName.frameExtension=frame%10 // repeeat frames 0-9

fileNodeName.frameExtension=(frame-1)%10 +1 // repeeat frames 1-10 starting at frame 1 starting to go forward at 10

fileNodeName.frameExtension=10\*linstep(0,10,(frame-10)) //run once. starting at frame 10 and then running untill it reaches frame 19

fileNodeName.frameExtension=10\*linstep(0,9,(frame)%20)-10\*linstep(10,20,(frame)%20)//pingpong from 1 to 10
