Unknown Nodes Or Data

when I try to save my .mb as a .ma, I get "file contains unknown nodes or data, file type cannot be changed".
this is a very small scene with almost nothing in it so I figure I should be able to track down what's offensive, but how do I do that?

try this: select ls -type unknown; delete;

there is also a button to do this in the file optimization menu
