Exactly what coord sys are vertex values in? Here is my problem, if I create a poly plane, and move a vertex up in Y, when I click on the Selected CPs' to look at the values, x and z are both zero, when the vertex is NOT at zero on the x. Does this mean that the vert positions are in local space?

This is very confusing. My script can get the values of a selected vertex, but they are obviously not correct. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the values in world space?

You can either use the -ws flag on xform or the -w flag on pointPosition to get world space coords.
