I've got a model which I made in Modo and I'm tring to render in Maya with Mental Ray. It works fine until I batch render the scene at which point it keeps spitting out warnings and is taking a LOT longer than it should -

The warnings are as follows...
angle between normal and geometry normal \> 90

Anyone know how to fix this?

Yeah. Limit the output verbosity. Set it to 'no messages' in Render Global Settings, mental ray tab, Translation -\> Export Verbosity.

Sounds like youve managed to get flipped normals in modo ![](http://www2.highendnet.com/forums/icons/smile.gif) turing of verbosity wont offcourse speed up the render.
