What is starting cost of softimage

Softiamge 3D Base= $2,995 U.S.
Softimage 3D Extreme (Includes 1 Mentalray and Phoenix Tools Particles) = $4,995 U.S.

However, you can still probably get it down another $500, when you talk to the reseller.

Base is almost the same as Extreme, excpet the the MR license and particles. About the only else missing is Metaclay.

Softimage XSI 1.5 Essentials list for $7995.00 and it includes Softimage 3D 3.9.2. If you are a student I believe you can get a full version from www.journeyed.com for about $1000.00. I'm pretty sure you have to be a full time student with at least 12 credit hours to qualify.

The Softimage|XSI educational promotion has been extended at the cost of $495 to students successfully passing the XSI-201 training course at an authorized training center or onsite from a certified instructor (such as me). When XSI-301 course training material is available, students will be required to pass both the 201 and 301 classes to qualify. So take advantage of the situation and register now!
