Zoooming Into Detail

hey guyz wassup, if u've see war of the worlds where a leaf is in the view of the camera, then the cam zooooooooooooms in till the micro-level things r seen in it,
similar thing is done the transformers movie where the camera zooms into the cracks of captain wit wicky's glasses where the cracks are actually symbols for the navigation of megatron's location.

hope some technical minded evil genius comes up with a solution.

just do two different scenes and fake the zoom in the compositor.

ya i thought about that too, but iam not sure if its the right method, the zoomz in the movies r so perfect even if u watch a hundred times u wont be able to notice anything wrong, but mine is somehow noticeable
any further direction will be great..

Well if its done properly you dont see the difference. But yes you could do it in one scene too. See humans hdont see things that acutely.
