2.1 Particles Slower than before

I recently download the 2.1 update, before that I was doing some Particle experiments, Installed the update, and now the particles are incredibly slow, I haven't tried all the new features, but for a start this looks bad...
Running in a G4 867, 1.5 G , 9.2.2

Hi,

Go in to the preferences menu and select OPENGL.

Turn off the option, "USE SOFTWARE OPENGL".

Restart combustion and it should return to normal.
