3 button mouse for Maya NT

My new system only has 2 button mouse. Will any 3 button mouse work with Maya 3.0 NT? Do I need to install a mouse driver before installing Maya 3? I currently have NT 4.0 Service Pack 5.
Sorry for such a basic question. I'm a Mac person moving onto NT so I'm completely lost. Thanks in advance. -speed

any of the microsoft or other mice that have that wheel on them will work
i think logitech has a regular 3 button mouse thats cheep and no you dont have to install the mouse drivers first just when you do install the mouse install the drivers for it

A wheel button mouse will work (The wheel is the 3rd button) but many users don't like that. You can cruise over to your local Circuit City or Best Buy and grab a cheapo 3 button mouse (like Dexxa) for under $10. Just plug it in and the more expensive the mouse you get you might even get drivers w/ Otherwise Windows will take care of the drivers for ya.
