Hey,
Im doing this survey on 3d computer gfx software. Because on my study we have do do a survey, and this was the most interesting subject i could pick for myself. But im having a hard time getting some data together.
My goal is to investigate the most common used 3d software packages, list the industries they are most used in, and then survey some businesses in those industries asking them why they choose for their particular software package, along with some other questions i have to figure out. But thats for later. Right now i assembled a list of most commonly used 3d software packages, but my teacher told me i have to make some kind of controllable method (dont really know how to call this in english) on what to base my picks for most common used software packages on. This could very well be sales per package. say Maya, Max and C4D are all above 500K sold packages (witch they sure are), so they are in the list.
But i cant really find any sales records, and i imagine that those companies wont be trowing those out on the internet either.
So i came here for help. Maybe someone who's more involved in the industry can come up with a method thats controllable to define a list of most common 3d Packages.
All help is appreciated!
Greetings,
Martijn
