3d : Dealing With Layer Pass

   i am a compositor, but more one the "live" side than the "Cg" right now, but i whant to change that....

I was wondering if the was good books or article about dealing and assembling 3D layer passes , something like Ron Brickman or Steve Wright's books , but for 3D ...

Just look here on highend. There are a few good 3d compositing tutorials by Tahl Niran. They are for shake but translate easily for DF.

The Gnomon Workshop has some compositing dvds that address the subject. eric hanson also explains the process in one of Gnomons Digital Sets volumes. www.gnomonology.com may have something as well.

use channel boleans for hight depth passes and learn shake for easy reference. i'll send more details again
