3ds converter

Hi, i read somewhere that this website had a plugin to convert 3ds format to maya format. I searched the plugins for a while and could not find what i was looking for, if it is still in excistance, does anyone have a direct link to it?

You should try FBX, which is Autodesk's own format to move files between different applications. Either it comes with your software alerady, or you can update with the latest version by downloading from Autodesk.

I used it once to move a scene from Max to Maya, and it did a pretty good job. Although I did have to read the docs for some details.
