It looks like both an advertisement for a company but also possible copyright infringement with burned CD/DVD. Either way not appropriate for Highend.

Hmm.. I dunno.. maybe they bought these tutorials and just didn't need them anymore.

I think it may have been prudent to ask them some questions or simple moved this post here until further notice instead of banning them outright.

We have been getting alot of blatant spammers lately but I don't think this is one of them. For example if they were one of the typical "organized" pirates we've seen their website would be selling software .. theirs looks like a multimedia company with no indication of an attempt to sell warez etc.

Basically when I advise a company such as Alias or Gnomon of suspected piracy whether selling copies of software or learning material I don't say "this person is pirating software". Basically I include a copy of the original posted text with any additional info such as a link to their online website that may assist their investigation.

Ok now that I have reread the post I see they are selling VCD's.. so obviously copies since none of the big guys sell VCD's..

Which brings me to the question, do we as moderators have "name@highend3d.com" email accounts? Not to cause a flood of emails to the server but asking out of curiousity.

no name@highend3d.com email addresses, but I could easily set them up if you guys would like. We get a lot of spam to *@highend3d.com so the addresses would be a bit spammed for sure.

no prob if you just forward it to my acccount... I mean i can filter out most of the sapm and id jsut pull it to a different folderso it wouldnt bother me that much.

But in not so sure username@highend3d is sucha good idea, maybe it would be better if it was rean.name@mod.highend instead? or something like that
