A Good Computer For Maya?

I 'm using windows vista for maya 8.5 (it's a laptop)
and it keeps on crashing

I'm looking for a new desktop computer for maya 3D 8.5
Anyone have any suggestions?

I recently purchased a couple of Q6600 (quadcore) workstations from the guys at Magic Micro. The computers work fine and the pricing was good. They aren't Boxx workstations, but I think they use good components for a generic type of PC.
