Adding A Cube Without Dragging

i'm switching from maya 7 to maya 2008 and I hate how the new maya makes you drag out the cube on the grid. when I click add cube I want the cube to just drop in.

Some friends of mine that have used maya 8 said that it was the same but there was an option in the menus to make maya behave in the old way. is it still there in 2008? and where would it be located?

Create>Nurbs>Interactive Creation.

(Same for Polys)

Unckeck that and you should be fine.

also i think if you just single click instead of dragging, it puts a unit cube there. that way you don't need to turn off the setting.
